FAQ_Support | Ben. Msdos. sys。 Command. This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page. (Learn how and when to remove these template messages). Io. sys, Msdos. sys, Drvspace. Sys. com”文件恢复这些文件。用启动盘启动后,键入“Sys c: ”即可。 Ⅲ、初始化文件的错误 Windows在启动时要读取“Autoexec. Config. sys”,“System. Win. ini”,“User. dat”,“System. . · I was SO pleased to read this, and immediately downloaded the hotfix. Windows 3. 1 was actually just an application that ran on DOS, and DOSBox is an emulator designed to run DOS and DOS applications. Windows 3. 1 in DOSBox is an ideal combination for running old Windows 3. Install Windows 3. First, you’ll need to create a folder on your computer. This folder will contain the contents of the “C: ” drive you’ll provide to DOSBox. Don’t use your actual C: drive on Windows for this. Make a folder like “C: \dos”, for example. Create a folder inside the “C: \dos” folder — for example, “C: \dos\INSTALL” — and copy all the files from your Windows 3. Windows 3. 1 is still under Microsoft copyright, and can’t legally be downloaded from the web, although many websites do offer it for download and Microsoft no longer offers it for sale. You can use Windows 3. Windows for Workgroups 3. Next, install and launch DOSBox. At the DOS prompt, type the following command and press Enter to mount the folder you created as your C: drive in DOSBox: mount c c: \dos(If you named the folder somewhere else or placed it at another location, type that location instead of c: \dos.)Switch to the C: drive by typing the following two characters and pressing Enter: c: Next, enter the folder containing your Windows 3. If you named the folder something else, type that instead of install.)Finally, launch the Windows 3. Go through the Windows 3. Windows 3. 1 in DOSBox. When it’s done, close the DOS system by clicking “Reboot” in the wizard. When you restart DOSBox, you can launch Windows 3. Install Video Drivers. DOSBox supports standard VGA graphics. However, it also supports some other types of graphics. By default, it’s set up to emulate S3 Graphics. For best graphics support, you’ll want to install the S3 graphics drivers and configure Windows 3. You can download the S3 video driver from the Classic Games website. Unzip the . zip file to a folder inside your DOSBox C: drive folder. For example, it would make sense to put these files in the “C: \dos\s. In Windows 3. 1, double- click the Main program folder and double- click the “Windows Setup” icon. Click the “Options” menu in the Windows Setup window and select “Change System Settings.”Click the “Display” box, scroll down to the bottom, and select “Other display (Requires disk from OEM).”Type the path to the S3 drivers. For example, if you unzipped them to the C: \dos\s. C: \S3” here. Choose your preferred resolution and colors. We recommend choosing 8. This is the highest resolution and number of colors many games will support. Click OK several times. Windows will install the drivers and you’ll be prompted to restart it. After you do, you’ll see your new graphical settings in effect. If Windows won’t work properly after you select a display mode, run the following command after using the “cd windows” command to enter the Windows directory: setup. You’ll then be able to select a different video mode. Install Sound Drivers. There’s one more driver issue to take care of. Windows 3. 1 doesn’t include sound drivers that will work completely with the Sound. Blaster sound hardware DOSBox is emulating. You’ll want to install those, too. As with the S3 video driver, you can download the Sound Blaster 1. Creative Audio Driver from the Classic Games website. Unzip the downloaded archive into a folder like c: \dos\sb. Exit Windows 3. 1 by clicking “File” and selecting “Exit Windows” if it’s open in DOSBox. Run the following commands to launch the Sound Blaster 1. Press Enter to install the drivers, select Full Installation, and press Enter again. By default, you’ll see the line: “Microsoft Windows 3. None”. Select “Microsoft Windows 3. Enter. Enter the default path, which is C: \WINDOWS, and press Enter. Press Enter again to continue. On the next screen, select the “Interrupt setting: 5” value and press Enter. It’s set to 5 by default, but DOSBox’s default is 7. Select “7” for the Interrupt Setting and press Enter. You can then press Enter to continue. Allow the installation process to finish and “reboot” your DOS system by closing DOSBox and reopening it. Launch Windows 3. MIDI audio. You should hear a sound as soon as you launch Windows 3. Install and Run Games and Other Applications. To actually use an application, download it (or copy it from old disks) and place it in a folder inside your c: \dos folder. For example, you might want to place it in c: \dos\gamename. You can then create a shortcut to the game’s . File > New and browsing to its . Double- click that shortcut to launch the game. The game should just work, launching within the DOSBox window as if it were running on Windows 3. You don’t have to go through this entire setup process again in the future, either. Just take that c: \dos folder — or whatever else you named it — and back it up. Move it to another computer and you can use it after installing DOSBox. Because we haven’t configured DOSBox at all and have just used its default settings, you won’t even have to tweak your DOSBox settings before it will work. Download DOSBox for Windows 1. Free. Win. That’s a lot of adventure fans! UPDATE: As of February 2. Why does my Top Adventures List project stop in 1. I figure that adventure fans already know which adventure novels from the Eighties, Nineties, and Twenty- Oughts are worth reading; so I’m interested in directing attention to older, sometimes obscure or forgotten adventures. Also, I have friends who’ve published adventures since 1. I don’t want these lists to be biased! In chronological order: 1. Walter Scott’s 1. Waverley. The novel — which sends a young Englishman adventuring in the highlands of Scotland, during the Jacobite uprising which sought to put Bonnie Prince Charlie on the British throne — is regarded as the first historical novel. Note that Scotland, that savage tribal land just across the border from hyper- civilized England, was the original adventure frontier. Mary Shelley’s Gothic science fiction adventure Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus. From multiple points of view, we read about a brilliant scientist and his creation: a dehumanized creature who longs for love and friendship and, eventually, revenge. PS: There are two editions of the book; the 1. Walter Scott’s 1. Ivanhoe, the protagonist of which makes his first appearance at a tourney in disguise, known only as The Disinherited Knight. Also at that tourney is a mysterious archer named Locksley. Who can it be?) This popular book was single- handedly responsible for the medievalist craze in early 1. England. 1. 82. 6. James Fenimore Cooper’s frontier adventure The Last of the Mohicans. Cooper’s Leatherstocking tales were popular and influential (esp. France!), and therefore deserve a mention here — despite the fact that Mark Twain tore Cooper a new one. Despite its flaws — there are many! Charles Dickens’s crime adventure Oliver Twist. A great adventure, and the Artful Dodger is such a memorable character. Edgar Allan Poe’s Gothic sea adventure The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket. Poe’s only complete novel — about a teenager who stows away on a ship, is kidnapped by mutineers and pirates, encounters cannibals, and explores the Antarctic before discovering the key to all Western mystical traditions — has been described as “at once a mock nonfictional exploration narrative, adventure saga, bildungsroman, hoax, largely plagiarized travelogue, and spiritual allegory.” 1. Alexandre Dumas’s 1. The Three Musketeers introduces us to three unforgettable characters: the distinguished, highly educated Musketeer Athos; the religious and scholarly yet womanizing younger Musketeer Aramis; and the Falstaffian Musketeer Porthos. It is their sanguine companion D’Artagnan who coins the classic phrase “All for one, and one for all!”1. Alexandre Dumas’s avenger- type adventure The Count of Monte Cristo. It’s all here: a wronged man seeking revenge, a jailbreak, poisonings, smugglers, a sex slave (spoiler: she’s freed), and a treasure cave. Serialized in 1. 17 installments, it’s on the long side; still, according to Luc Sante, this story is today as “immediately identifiable as Mickey Mouse, Noah’s flood, and the story of Little Red Riding Hood.” 1. James Fenimore Cooper’s sea- going adventure The Crater. Fun fact: Adventure aficionados consider this one much superior to his Leatherstocking tales! Herman Melville’s sea- going adventure Moby- Dick is, we all know, much more than it appears to be on the surface. It is an allegory of (maybe) man’s gnostic rage against the occluded world in which he lives, separated from real reality. Perhaps more than you want to know about how whaling works, but one of the all- time great yarns. Lewis Carroll’s fantasy adventure Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Wilkie Collins’s detective adventure The Moonstone. Generally considered the first English- language detective novel. Jules Verne’s science- fiction adventure Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea introduces us to Captain Nemo, a scientific genius who roams the depths of the sea in his submarine — in quest of treasure, knowledge, and revenge. NB: The book inspired Arthur Rimbaud’s poem “Le Beateau Ivre.”1. Jules Verne’s science- fiction Robinsonade The Mysterious Island. An engineer, a sailor, a young boy, a journalist, and an African American butler escape a Civil War prison in a hot air balloon and crash land on a Lost- type island in the South Pacific. Who is observing them, helping them? Marred by didactic lessons of all sorts. Jules Verne’s espionage adventure Michael Strogoff, considered one of Verne’s best books. When the Tartar Khan incites a rebellion and separates the Russian Far East from the mainland, Michael Strogoff, courier for Tsar Alexander II, is sent to Irkutsk on a crucial mission. Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1. Treasure Island, which led to the popular perception of pirates as we know them today: e. Note that the castaway character Ben Gunn is a parody of Daniel Defoe’s character Robinson Crusoe! Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn — note that Twain, who scorned Walter Scott- type romances, uses the term “adventure” sardonically. He was poking holes in the prevailing sentimental and Romantic ethos of the literary establishment. Still, Twain’s novel is a fun romp through the American South in its grotesquerie, and it offers authentic thrills along the way. H. Rider Haggard’s frontier adventure King Solomon’s Mines, which set a new standard for thrills — thanks to the author’s illiberal belief that denizens of England are so coddled that they’ve forgotten their own savage nature. The first novel written in English that was based on the African continent, and the first “Lost World” adventure. NB: Haggard would write 1. Allan Quatermain, the hero of King Solomon’s Mines. Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1. Kidnapped, in which young David Balfour is sold into servitude by his wicked uncle. With the help of Alan Breck, a daring Jacobite, David escapes and travels across Scotland by night — hiding from government soldiers by day. H. Rider Haggard’s treasure hunt/occult adventure She. Weird fun, particularly if you like reincarnation stuff. Spoiler: In a later novel, She and Quatermain will cross paths! Rudyard Kipling’s Haggard- esque frontier adventure The Man Who Would Be King. Two British adventurers become kings of a remote part of Afghanistan, because — it turns out — the Kafirs there practice a form of Masonic ritual and the adventurers know Masonic secrets. Arthur Conan Doyle’s knightly adventure The White Company. Perhaps more of an ironic homage to than a sardonic inversion of the genre. Actually one of his best adventures! H. Rider Haggard’s Viking adventure Eric Brighteyes. Considered one of his best books. IBM Think. Pad T4. Review (pics, specs)by Andrew Baxter, New York. IBM Think. Pad T4. The specific Think. Pad brand has been built over many years now and has come to stand for high- quality, solidly built notebooks that are rugged in their matte black look, yet sleek and professional at the same time. Usability is second- to- none with the Think. Pad line and consumer oriented bells and whistles such as multicard readers or widescreen LCDs are shunned in favor of things such as adding keyboard lights, biometric security readers, hard- drive shock protection or other things that generally add to the usability, durability and security of a notebook. T4. 3 Design. Aside from the new fingerprint reader (optional), we find that the design for the T4. T4. X models. Since the Think. Pad T4. 3 is intended for and targeted at business buyers, continuing on this look is just perfect. Important to note is that there is both a 1. T4. 3 is the 1. 4. Settling for the smaller sized screen results in a smaller overall footprint, less weight and longer battery life and so is better for someone that desires to be more mobile. A 1. 5. 0″ model T4. The screen cover for the Think. Pad T4. 2 is constructed of magnesium alloy and prevents any screen flexing. With other laptops you can usually push on the back of the lid and get a worrying ripple effect on the LCD screen, the T4. The Think. Pad’s insides are housed in a case of titanium- reinforced plastic. The whole thing is held together by a pair of sturdy metal hinges that attach the screen and main body of the laptop. These metal hinges ensure that there is no screen wobble, even when on a turbulent plane ride. The T4. 3 simply looks like it’s been designed to take a beating (although you should still avoid abusing the notebook when possible). Input and Output Ports. Below are some pictures of each side of the Think. Pad T4. 3 that displays what ports we have on each side of the notebook. Please note that I have the optional 9- cell extended life battery installed so the battery sticks out, the standard 6- cell battery is flushed with the back of the T4. On the right side of the T4. D- SUB port (can be used to carry analogue video signals to a monitor). With this configuration the optical drive comes in the form of a CD- RW/DVD- RW drive. This bay is actually completely modular and is called the Ultra. Bay by IBM. You can use the Ultra. Bay to put in an extra battery, a different type of optical drive or even a sled that contains a secondary hard drive that is possible to boot to. Also of note is the hard drive for the T4. Think. Pad T4. 3 right- side (view larger image)On the left side of the Think. Pad T4. 3 we have a majority of our ports. Two USB 2. Personally I’d like to see more than just 2 ports, but for a thin and light this is acceptable, although not optimal. We also have an S- Video output port available. The modem and Ethernet jacks reside next to the S- Video port. Headphone out and microphone in ports are sandwiched between the Ethernet port and fan vent. On the front right side we have a PC card slot (PCMCIA slot) and Express. Card slot. It’s nice to have the Express. Card slot as that will be the standard of the future for allowing accessory expansion on notebooks. However, for right now there are very few Express. Card compatible accessories available. Think. Pad T4. 3 left- side (view larger image)On the back of the T4. The parallel port is a legacy port hangover and is completely unnecessary for the consumer, but there are some corporate customers that still need this. Think. My IBM T4. 3 notebook came with an SXGA (1,2. Personally I prefer having an SXGA screen over XGA. I used a 1. IBM T4. 2 with an XGA screen (1,0. I can verify that you are able to see more on the screen using a T4. SXGA (1,4. 00 x 1,0. You can probably see about 1. SXGA screen relative to a 1. XGA screen. It’s very reasonable to have more than one document open at a time with an SXGA 1. Think. Pad T4. 3 Screen (view larger image)The screen quality and brightness is middle of the road. When compared to other notebook screens such as the Sony XBrite screen or Toshiba Tru. Brite screen, the IBM T4. Brightness and clarity on the T4. The whites on this screen are also not pure white but rather have a very slight tint of yellow, it’s not uncommon to find that an LCD presents whites with either a very slight yellowish or bluish hue. Although the screen brightness is not the best out there, I find the horizontal viewing angle of the T4. At a 4. 5 degree horizontal viewing angle things are very readable and viewable still, and even from a full 9. I am able to read text on web pages and in MS Word. There are no dead pixels present on the notebook’s display. Ghosting on the display (a phenomenon in which fast motion on a screen causes streaks or trails of ghost images) has not been an issue with this display, some T4. Keyboard / Touch. Pad / Track. Point. IBM T4. 3 keyboard / Touch. Pad / Track. Point view (view larger image)The Track. Point navigation featuring a pointing stick, touchpad and multiple mouse buttons lets you choose your favorite way to navigate the cursor on the screen. I’m a huge fan of the pointing stick. The pointing stick and Track. Point navigation are great for three reasons. The pointing stick makes it really easy to get the cursor where you want it to go on the screen. I’ve never met a touchpad that gives you precise control and gets the cursor where you want it to go 1. With the pointing stick the cursor goes exactly where you want it, and if it begins to act funny and not go where you want it to, simply let go and the machine recalibrates the pointing stick automatically. When the pointing stick is combined with the scroll button (located between the two upper mouse buttons) you can scroll through web pages and long documents with ease. Just hold down the scroll button and push the pointing stick up or down to scroll to where you want on a page. The mouse buttons are raised very nicely making it easy to feel the buttons and push them. Competitors often have buttons that are barely raised, or even worse, flat. The keyboard on the T4. IBM exacting standards, there’s not a notebook out there with as usable a keyboard. In fact, I prefer the T4. I’ve used. The IBM Think. Pad keyboard uses 7- rows of keys as opposed to the usual 6- rows competitors’ use, this makes for more typing room and less cramping of the fingers. Each keyboard key is firm and has excellent travel, and each key feels individual. On a lot of notebooks you’ll get flexing of the keyboard, so when pushing in a key you’ll see other keys around it get slightly depressed and if you push in on the keyboard you’ll see the entire keyboard sag. Not so with any Think. Pad, the keyboard is solid with zero rattle and zero flex. The usability and ergonomics of a keyboard is hugely important for a laptop, IBM has done much research and exerted great effort to ensure this important feature is as good as it can be. The final list of games at E3 2. Now that E3 is done and dusted, let's take a look back at every game that was announced. UPDATE: Make that 1. Nintendo just announced a new remake of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga with an added bonus story with Bowser's Minions. This year's E3 was never going to be a quiet affair. With last year's firework display of new game reveals (Death Stranding and God of War) and an extensive look at what eventually became one of the greatest games ever made, 2. E3 was one for the ages. So, how did 2. 01. EA's pre- show antics at EA Play introduced us to two new IPs, Anthem and A Way Out. Microsoft came out swinging with its reveal of the Xbox One X, the console formerly known as Scorpio. It then pulled out a few surprises in the way of a new Metro game, a new Dragonball game and more. Surprisingly, Microsoft did a decent job of showing off new titles this year. Bethesda came next, with two new announcements: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and The Evil Within 2. Then Ubisoft followed up with a few interesting new IPs, like Skull and Bones and Transference, but that wasn't all. Ubi went on to blow the hearts and minds of everyone watching by announcing Beyond Good and Evil 2. Sony was up next with little in the way of new IPs (aside from a few interesting VR titles), but it did surprise us with a Shadow of the Colossus HD remake and showed off a lot more from PS4's Spider- Man. Wrapping up the E3 festivities was Nintendo, who absolutely blew fans away with two new Metroid games, a new Kirby for Switch, a new Yoshi for Switch, a new core Pokémon title for Switch and an in- depth look at Super Mario Odyssey. Take a knee, peasants. Take a look at the complete list of games for E3 2. Title. Platform. Release date.

Many women have strong views about where and how they'd like to deliver their babies. In general, women can choose to deliver at a hospital, birth center, or at home. You will need to contact your health insurance provider to find out what options are available. Also, find out if the doctor or midwife you are considering can deliver your baby in the place you want to give birth. Hospitals are a good choice for women with health problems, pregnancy complications, or those who are at risk for problems during labor and delivery. Hospitals offer the most advanced medical equipment and highly trained doctors for pregnant women and their babies. In a hospital, doctors can do a cesarean delivery if you or your baby is in danger during labor. Women can get epidurals or many other.
Also, more and more hospitals now offer on- site birth centers, which aim to offer a style of care similar to standalone birth centers. Questions to ask when choosing a hospital: Is it close to your home? Is a doctor who can give pain relief, such as an epidural, at the hospital 2. Do you like the feel of the labor and delivery rooms? Are private rooms available? How many support people can you invite into the room with you? Does it have a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in case of serious problems with the baby? Can the baby stay in the room with you? Does the hospital have the staff and set- up to support successful. Does it have an on- site birth center? Birth or birthing centers give women a "homey" environment in which to labor and give birth. They try to make labor and delivery a natural and personal process by doing away with most high- tech equipment and routine procedures. So, you will not automatically be hooked up to an IV. Likewise, you won't have an electronic fetal monitor around your belly the whole time. Instead, the midwife or nurse will check in on your baby from time to time with a handheld machine. Once the baby is born, all exams and care will occur in your room. Usually certified nurse- midwives, not obstetricians, deliver babies at birth centers. Healthy women who are at low risk for problems during pregnancy, labor, and delivery may choose to deliver at a birth center. Women cannot receive epidurals at a birth center, although some pain medicines may be available. If a cesarean delivery becomes necessary, women must be moved to a hospital for the procedure. After delivery, babies with problems can receive basic emergency care while being moved to a hospital. Many birthing centers have showers or tubs in their rooms for laboring women. They also tend to have comforts of home like large beds and rocking chairs. In general, birth centers allow more people in the delivery room than do hospitals. Birth centers can be inside of hospitals, a part of a hospital or completely separate facilities. If you want to deliver at a birth center, make sure it meets the standards of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, The Joint Commission, or the American Association of Birth Centers. Accredited birth centers must have doctors who can work at a nearby hospital in case of problems with the mom or baby. Also, make sure the birth center has the staff and set- up to support. Homebirth is an option for healthy pregnant women with no risk factors for complications during pregnancy, labor or delivery. It is also important women have a strong after- care support system at home. Some certified nurse midwives and doctors will deliver babies at home. Many health insurance companies do not cover the cost of care for homebirths. So check with your plan if you'd like to deliver at home. Homebirths are common in many countries in Europe. However, in the United States, planned homebirths are not supported by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). ACOG states that hospitals are the safest place to deliver a baby. In case of an emergency, says ACOG, a hospital's equipment and highly trained doctors can provide the best care for a woman and her baby. If you are thinking about a homebirth, you need to weigh the pros and cons. The main advantage is that you will be able to experience labor and delivery in the privacy and comfort of your own home. Since there will be no routine medical procedures, you will have control of your experience. The main disadvantage of a homebirth is that in case of a problem, you and the baby will not have immediate hospital/medical care. It will have to wait until you are transferred to the hospital. Plus, women who deliver at home have no options for pain relief. To ensure your safety and that of your baby, you must have a highly trained and experienced midwife along with a fail- safe back- up plan. You will need fast, reliable transportation to a hospital. If you live far away from a hospital, homebirth may not be the best choice. Your midwife must be experienced and have the necessary skills and supplies to start emergency care for you and your baby if need be. Your midwife should also have access to a doctor 2.

Below is a quick video I put together to explain how to use the Wheel of Life. Welcome to your Wheel of Life! As a starting point for creating balance, happiness and success in your life, the Wheel of Life is the perfect tool to begin your journey. Using this tool, you will be able to reflect and gain some insight into the balance of your life and how satisfied you are in life’s different areas. Following on from this self- reflection, you can utilise this exercise to further delve into why your wheel of life looks the way it does, what you would like your wheel of life to look like, and further into how to make this happen. This Wheel of Life Exercise is not to be confused with the Buddhist Wheel of Life. The Wheel of Life used in Buddhism focuses more on an awareness of your mental state. In our Wheel of Life that is commonly used in coaching and goal- setting, it’s purpose is to identify how you’re currently spending your time and how satisfied you are in the different categories of your life. Before we get started, this post has a supplementary tool which can be found in the Success Starter Toolkit. Enter your details below to gain access to the Success Starter Toolkit and download your free Wheel of Life templates, guide and action plan. The Building Blocks of the Wheel of Life. Essentially, the Wheel of Life is divided into different areas or categories that are important to you. What you see above is a common example of the Wheel of Life, split into major categories of life including Business/Career, Finances, Health, Family & Friends, Romance, Personal Growth, Fun & Recreation, and Physical Environment. There is a scoring system behind using the Wheel, where you simply reflect and rate your satisfaction levels out of 1. The above diagram is colour- coded to simplify it and also make it aesthetically pleasing… feel free to change this as you wish! Note that the categories on the Wheel are a suggestion. You will find that with the above you will be able to score yourself in the majority of key areas in your life. However, before you rush into it and complete the Wheel, you may like to have thought whether there are any other categories or specific areas you would like get an understanding of, such as Spirituality or Contribution to Society. Perhaps you may want to have Family & Friends as two separate categories to understand each more specifically. Below is an example of what your Wheel of Life may look like. Photo credit: Personal Excellence. Remember, this is about you finding happiness and balance in your life so it will need to be clear and simple for you to understand. One of the biggest benefits of the Wheel of Life is the pictorial representation it gives of your satisfaction with life. When your Wheel is completed, it will give you a spider- like diagram or ‘inner- circle’ of your satisfaction levels and allows you to quickly and easily identify any gaps between where you are now and where you want to be. Now that you understand the building blocks of the Wheel, let’s go ahead and actually complete it! Step 1 – Setup. Print off one of the above Wheels to use as a template, or simply draw your own on a piece of paper. To download the free wheel of life templates, please access the Success Starter Toolkit. Step 2 – Complete the Wheel. Score your satisfaction levels against each of the different categories you have on your Wheel. Take your time doing this, I would recommend 1. Put yourself in a place with no distractions and reflect on your life as a whole. To help you with this exercise I have provided some thought prompter’s. Business, Career & Studies: Is your career where you want it to be by now? Are you heading in the right direction? Finance & Wealth: Are you earning enough income to satisfy your current needs? Are you financial setup for future growth in wealth? Health & Fitness: How physically healthy are you? Are you satisfied with your level of fitness? Are you satisfied with your diet? Social & Friends: Are your friends supportive of you? Are you engaging friends and socializing to your satisfaction levels? Family: Is your family supportive of you? Are you supportive of your family? Love: Do you feel loved? How often are you expressing love to others? Recreation & Fun: Are you enjoying your life and making it fun? Are you satisfied with the level of activity that you do? Contribution: How would others rate your contribution to society or them as individuals? Personal Growth: How focused are you on personal growth? Are you satisfied with your direction? Are you trying new experiences and seeking to learn? Spiritual: How connected are you to the inner and outer world? Are you satisfied with your relationship with your spiritual being? Self- Image: Do you think of your abilities highly? Do you respect and love yourself? Do you appreciate yourself? Step 3 – Reflect. You should now have a completed Wheel of Life. It may look something like the below. Take a moment to appreciate your Wheel of Life. What does it look like? Are there any surprises to you? If you have scores of 8 to 1. You are very satisfied in this particular area. It’s important you maintain what you are doing to ensure you remain satisfied in this area, however don’t overlook that there may be areas for improvement. This is important to ensure you are not limiting your potential for even further growth and satisfaction in this area. If you have scores of 5 to 7 for any of the categories, you are reasonably satisfied in this particular area but there is definitely opportunity to explore ideas to move this up the scale. If you have scores of 0 to 4 for any of the categories, you are not very satisfied in this particular area and you will need to explore ways of enhancing your satisfaction here. No need to get down about these scores though, as scores of 0 to 4 are full of opportunity! I find this as quite exciting when someone has a lower score as often is the case the individual has not fully explored opportunities that are available to them. It’s also the area where the individual can grow the most and get the most value! I encourage you to answer the below questions: Why did you score yourself in each category the way you did? What is my ideal score for each category to achieve in the next month, 3 months, 6 months, one year? Where are my biggest gaps in satisfaction levels? Which area of my life do I primarily want to focus on to enhance my satisfaction levels? An important thing to remember is that this is your Wheel of life. Is your current wheel crooked or is it balanced? What happens when you try to move forward and you have a crooked wheel? How efficient and effective are you going to be in life if you can not move forward in a balanced way? It is very easy to become extremely satisfied in one area, but at what cost? For example, you can spend all your time and energy working on your career and make some fantastic progress. Perhaps you will even become extremely satisfied with your finances and wealth. However, what may happen to your relationships? Your health and well- being? Are you having fun along the way? The key is to find the balance and that is the beauty of the Wheel. To do this, you want to grow your Wheel, not balance your Wheel by trading off in some areas of your life. It’s about moving forward, challenging yourself and pushing your boundaries to expand your Wheel and make it bigger while maintaining a balance. Step 4 – Action! Based on the above, it’s time to put the wheels in motion! |
